From walking down the red carpet in glamorous outfits to accepting awards on stage, the Grammys are the highlight of music awards every year. But aside from the music awards, who would be receiving the awards for best hair and makeup?

Artist of Makeup or Music?
Olivia Dean may have gotten the Grammy for best new artist, but there should also be something in it for her makeup artist. Olivia Dean stunned at the Grammys in more ways than one. Her glamorously chic outfit changes stand out as she always has the best dresses that suit her bright energy. But her makeup and hair are what truly take the cake. Her gorgeous, long, and flowing curls did not go unnoticed. Her hair remained voluminous and naturally beautiful, which paired perfectly with her subtle makeup look. She rocked a small wing and light brown eyeshadow with a dark mauve purple lip. She remained quite natural as there wasn't much contrast to her makeup since the blush and bronzer were minimal to non-existent, letting her hair and wardrobe steal the show. While her makeup may have been subtle, it is timeless and elegant while also reflecting her calming yet inspiring music that will never go out of style, reflecting her true Hollywood glamour like a captivating singer in a Marlyn Monroe type of movie.

Ethereal Elegance Through Makeup and Hair
Sabrina Carpenter brought more than 80s popstar vibes to the Grammys; she stunned the carpet with her ethereal makeup and hair. While subtle, it still had more coverage and base makeup than Olivia’s. While Olivia focused more on the eye makeup, Sabrina did a subtle contoured eye look and a white and silver eyeliner on her waterline, to emphasize her round eyes and make her inner corners pop. This technique made her eyes look bigger and flirtier as they drew attention to her face. Her glam remained refined and elegant with trendier flares of heavily blushed cheeks and a light contour, which both made her cheek bones pop just like her eyes. Her blush seemed to perfectly match her lip, which was a dark raspberry pink color. Her makeup was elegant and perfectly in sync with the pops and ethereal glow. While her makeup was subtle yet popped, her hair remained simple and carried the ethereal energy as it let her makeup and clothes stand out the most. Her low and flowing ponytail matched with her enchanting glowy makeup, making her look like a Shakespearean love interest.

Subtle to Intense
From Olivia Dean to Sabrina Carpenter, many celebrities showed up in subtle glam. Even Zara Larson went for a more subtle look rather than her sparkly and colorful eye looks, which she is known for. However, Chappell Roan could not have gone more unnoticed on the red carpet. Her revealing and unique style of dress captured the attention of everyone, but her makeup and hair are what kept people enthralled. Rather than letting one or two things stand out between fashion, makeup, or hair, Chappell Roan had fun with them all. Her flowing, cheap, cherry-red hair was crimped, curled, and braided, giving it character while matching her makeup and dress. Her makeup continued the story of her hair as it remained pale as porcelain, but had a bold brick colored blush to match her hair and her intensely lined, deep brick lips. Rather than overdoing her lipliner, she intensified it by showing off her cupid's bow and had a light glow in the center of her lip to make them appear bigger. Her eyes differentiated from the rest of the look because it was a deep forest green with a goldish green sparkly eyeliner that went into an intense double cat eye from the inner corner to the outer corner. From her long and eclectic deep cherry red hair to her bold makeup, she looked like a bold forest nymph.

The Wrap Up
Walking a red carpet under flashing lights, surrounded by paparazzi, is no easy task. Yet artists from Olivia Dean to Sabrina Carpenter remained poised and composed throughout one of the most high-pressure moments of the night.
Sabrina, Olivia, and Chappell are all relatively new artists, but they are no strangers to commanding attention. It is difficult to imagine a time before these creative and glamorous women defined the red carpet in their own way.
From bright lights to award speeches and live performances, these artists delivered not only musically but visually. Whether through bold statements or understated elegance, their looks are certain to influence trends beyond the Grammys stage.
