Inside Roberto Cavalli's Resort Collection Aboard Maison Mytheresa in Saint-Tropez
Despite record-breaking heatwaves in Paris during Menswear Week, somewhere closer to the coast a superyacht experience unfolded in Saint-Tropez, calling special guests and friends of the house aboard.

The Mediterranean shimmered beneath a relentless June sun, tenders drifted between superyachts, linen fluttered in the sea breeze, and somewhere along the harbour another afternoon dissolved effortlessly into aperitivo hour. It was impossible to imagine Roberto Cavalli anywhere else.

Aboard the Mytheresa Style Suite in Saint-Tropez, Roberto Cavalli presented its latest Resort collection in a setting that felt distinctly Mediterranean: intimate, sun-soaked, and glamorous. Rather than separating fashion from lifestyle, the experience blurred the two, inviting guests to discover the collection before gathering over cocktails as the Riviera settled into golden hour.

Mermaid Blues, Animal Prints, and the Return of Riviera Sensuality
Joined by Creative Director Fausto Puglisi, the presentation reaffirmed the house's unmistakable vision of Mediterranean glamour. Silk-layered designs, skin-tight jumpsuits, fluid tailoring, and Cavalli's signature animal prints conveyed an assured sensuality that felt entirely at home aboard a superyacht.

Mermaid blues echoed the Mediterranean beyond the deck, while exotic avian motifs recalled the house's enduring fascination with nature, freedom, and instinct. Rather than nostalgia, the collection reaffirmed the codes that have long defined the Cavalli woman: fearless, magnetic, and unapologetically alive.

Roberto Cavalli's Cocktail Reception in Saint-Tropez
While guests helped themselves to caviar atop warm blinis, sunset Negronis in hand and crystal-clear spritzes lining the bar, the collection came alive.
Models drifted measuredly through the yacht rather than down a runway, sun dresses and second-skin jumpsuits breezing about with palettes ranging from azure blues, sand-dune neutrals and statement prints.
Guests instinctively stepped aside to clear a path as each new look emerged, their conversations softening until the models had passed.

At the bow, Creative Director Fausto Puglisi remained close to the models, quietly observing each look as it moved between the decks before rising to photograph them against the backdrop of Saint-Tropez harbour.
Nearby, Mytheresa Chief Buying Officer Tiffany Hsu, dressed in a luminous gold gown with a crinkled texture and delicate lace trim, paused throughout the evening to capture the collection as it drifted past. As another model appeared, heads turned toward the bow before conversations gradually resumed.

Waiters threaded effortlessly between guests carrying gilded silver trays topped with golden-brown eggplant canapés, while Maison Mytheresa still-water cans sat ubiquitously across the deck.
Elsewhere, a stylist leaned in, confessing, "I've never been on a superyacht before," still taking in the evening as the yacht gently rocked against the quay. Nearby, a couturier passed around photographs of the custom orange wedding dress she had designed for herself, drawing guests into conversation.
An indie designer and a merchandising executive clinked their glasses together. "Cheers," they beam in unison, raising a toast to the collection as the last light settled over the Riviera. Not far away, a local gallery owner gently murmured, "Excuse me," as he crossed toward the back of the yacht, where the view of the collection was even better, before lifting his phone to capture the passing looks.

By the bar, champagne fizzed as the DJ played house music beneath a coral-streaked sky. As the light softened, miniature chocolate tartlets began circulating through the crowd alongside fresh pours of champagne. Barefoot guests swayed to the beats as though they'd wandered onto the set of a Riviera fashion shoot.

Around them, couples were joined at the hip, guests greeted familiar faces with kisses on both cheeks, and a younger generation quietly took it all in. The energy was palpable, yet strangely natural. Aboard a superyacht in Saint-Tropez in June, the Roberto Cavalli cocktail party felt less like an extraordinary escape than simply another evening in a life already well lived.

Resort collections have long celebrated freedom, leisure, and escape. Roberto Cavalli's latest collection suggests there's still room for something more: desire.
That is what lingers long after the last glass of champagne: not the clothes alone, but the unmistakable Riviera rush. A vision of resort life that feels sensual, glamorous, serene, and quietly untamed.
All at once.
