A Solo night or a Girl's night?
Spring 2025 has started off with picnics by the Seine, Spritz sips on the terrasse and visits to the Champagne region. Thing is, you don't feel like you want to be outside at the moment. You want a self-care night, in the apartment you pay a lot for. Regardless, a solo night or girl's night is about caring for yourself.

If your sleep schedule has been completely thrown off and your mercury feels like its in retrogade, then you need a chill night in. You know, the relaxing, soothing, light a candle, sage the apartment, cue up a lit rnb playlist kind. Spring brings the rain and sunshine but this isn't just another guide. This is a confessional piece.
As summer approaches, I feel myself getting more exhausted, and unfortunately, it is showing in my skin. Thing is, there is no perfect night but there is a way to map out a self-care night that feels perfect to you. A screen-limited night where your skincare routine devolves into a detendre ritual that rejuvenates your skin and relax your mind. *BTW, did you download the Angele Ammal premiere editorial lifestyle guide with a skincare planner YET?*
School, work, seasonal allergies, relationships, bills, life gets in the way. Relaxing goes from being a necessity to feeling like an expensive luxury. However, Spring is here. Ergo, you are priority number 1 now & forever, so let's plan that solo night in or a girls' night slumber party. *no, we are not sponsored by Netflix...yet.
Mind over Matter
Before getting into the rest of the steps for that perfect night in, start by simply doing what relaxes you. Maybe lighting some candles and listening to your favorite calming playlist or putting on your favorite feel-good movie could be a great way to start the night. At this moment, nothing else matters but clearing your mind and finding your zen.
Journaling is extra helpful when we need to put our minds at ease. Angry thoughts, stressful emotions, or even just being over-caffeinated and bored? Try writing out all your thoughts to help put your mind at ease so you can relax and daze off while watching a movie or reading a good book.
Body: Butters, Balms, & Bath bombs
Having a relaxing night doesn't just mean focusing on relaxing our mind, but also our bodies. I find that taking a hot bath with Epsom salts helps calm my muscles as well as make me feel cozy. Since the Paris weather is just getting warmer each day, try and soak up the bits of things we like to stay warm before it's too late and we get too hot in the next few months.
While in the bath, if you have a little energy, try exfoliating your skin to make it extra soft when wearing lighter clothes as the weather gets warmer. The exfoliator in our Lavish Body Care combo-Coffret corps is a great way to not only chemically help soften our skin but also physically remove any bumps like the ones on our arms. After that warm bath, follow up with body lotion to continue the protection and softening of your skin.
Skin & Sensuality
On a night in, skincare is the focus on the night. For a slumber party, sheet masks are always a fun way to help your skin while doing any of the other actions to relax your body and mind that I mentioned above. Of course, after the sheet mask, finish up your skincare regime with a thick moisturizer to seal in the most needed moisture and hydration. Our facial moisturizers like Antipodes Hydrating Day Cream Vanilla Pod or the AMATUS SKIN Complex Moisturiser are super beneficial for the skin as they are well absorbable but also thick enough to leave your skin moisturized.
For a solo night, bask in your feminity with a Tropical body butter & scrub combo and embrace your softness. The scents take you on an exotic olfactory vacation where vulnerabilites don't exist, just invincibility.
The Wrap Up
While it may seem impossible to find a relaxing night, don't forget to take time for yourself. Read more and doom scroll less. Focusing on my mind, body, and skin is what helps me find peace and relaxation. Why? because I get to treat myself to the little luxuries that are skincare and calming micro-moments-You know the short but precious times when the simples things bring your profound joy. This Spring, have the best self-care night of your dreams!
